Who are my allies in this journey?
Artemis and Bastet: Hunting for your Destiny & Protecting Your Space
When we are on a journey of changing our habits, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed by your circumstances. You are on the path of breaking generational curses and trauma when you CHOOSE something different for yourself! Who are your allies on this journey? We have two to explore today!
In this oracle spread, we are in the presence of the intense energy of Artemis, the sovereign Greek Goddess of the Hunt.
She is the Goddess of the Moon, protectress of young girls, and invoked for the protection of women during childbirth. The Wild Goddess of the Hunt, she is always in motion. Like the moon, Artemis makes transitions quickly and is an excellent role model for anyone who is looking to evolve in their path.
Whether you believe in this Goddess or not, her archetype can help you understand that life is always in motion. Our destinies are not tied to a single path, and it’s natural for them to evolve as we grow!
Bastet is the Egyptian Goddess of Motherhood, the domestic domain, and the protector of women. There are many interesting parallels between these two Goddesses which suggests that they may in fact be the same Goddess represented in a different cultural view.
Around the year 2270 B.C.E. , we see Bastet as the lion-headed Goddess, twin sister to Sekhmet the Goddess of war. Some two-thousand years later, Bastet is now depicted as a cat-headedGoddess or black feline.
Her transition between lionness to cat can be helpful if we are looking to evolve into a more nurturing role in our lives. Maybe the war we’ve been fighting since childhood is over and now we must play the part of healer instead of warrior?

What are Oracle Cards?
Tarot cards are similar to Oracle cards in that they are used for obtaining information related to universal messages and fortune telling. Oracle cards tend to provide a more general overview than specific knowledge about a topic. Oracle decks tend to be smaller than Tarot decks.
Oracle cards also have a broader range of themes than traditional tarot cards. This is just a basic overview of what Oracle cards are, if you’re interested in more information – I have resources for you!
