Oracle Card of the Day 08 01 2022 Self-Sacrifice

Oracle Card of the Day 08 01 2022

The Phoenix Cards by Susan Sheppard

“The Spirit of Self-Sacrifice”

This card is a direct depiction of early Christian Artwork found in the catacombs of Rome. A time when the transition period between Roman Paganism and Christianity were equalizing. We see here a fish, a Piscean iconology of the realm of dreams and creativity. It is overlaid by the Trident, a symbol of manifestation and action. It speaks of a deep need to unite the world of the imagination with the realm of the physical world.

Self Sacrifice comes into play when we are trying to bridge the gap between these worlds. There may be ideas we need to rethink or evolve to best suit our circumstances. Not everyone has the same opportunities, however, we are able to choose different paths by breaking routines that no longer serve us.

The idea of this card could be seen as someone giving up smoking so they can afford a small business and live a healthier lifestyle. Maybe it means someone choosing to overcome a fear by educating themselves about what they are afraid of. This card is a great sign that your higher self is directing you towards opportunity. Consider keeping yourself focused on your goals and your mind open to new experiences.

What are Oracle Cards?

Tarot cards are similar to Oracle‌ ‌cards‌ ‌in‌ ‌that‌ ‌they‌ ‌are‌ ‌used‌ ‌for‌ ‌obtaining‌ ‌information‌ ‌related‌ ‌to universal‌ ‌messages‌ ‌and‌ ‌fortune‌ ‌telling.‌ ‌Oracle‌ ‌cards‌ ‌tend‌ ‌to‌ ‌provide a more general overview than specific knowledge about a topic.‌ ‌Oracle‌ ‌decks tend to be smaller than Tarot‌ ‌decks.‌ ‌Oracle cards‌ ‌also‌ ‌have‌ ‌a‌ ‌broader range of themes than traditional tarot cards. This is just a basic overview of what Oracle cards are, if you’re interested in more information – I have resources for you!
