Mexican Loteria Card of the Day 08 01 2022

“El Cantarito” “The Pitcher”
Water inside the pitcher does not wet our thirsts if we never pour it into a glass to drink. We can spend hours lusting after concepts which are appealing to us, however nothing will come of those ideas unless we “pour our own cup.” Sometimes we get into the mindset that we’re helpless and only an outside force can “save us” from our circumstances. It’s great when that happens, however, what if it doesn’t?

Do we spend our lives believing something better is coming or does one small action in a different direction, a risk, possibly lead to a habit which serves us?
We don’t know until we try.
What are Mexican Loteria cards?
Originally, Mexican Loteria cards were used in a bingo-like game. They were not used as a divination tool until recently when the main supplier, Don Clemente, made the cards more uniform. The deck, consisting of 54 cards generally depicts art and symbolism present in Mexican culture. These cards are usually aimed at children or for general entertainment, but modern divination researchers, such as Garth Tardy, contributed to their development. Most of my information comes from this website:

I use the Loteria cards as a way of understanding how I can face hurdles in my life. I feel that they compliment the tarot, oracle, and affirmation decks well because they provide a different perspective on the theme of the day.
