Norse Rune of the Day 07 22 2022

“Jera” “The Harvest”

You have been working at perfecting a skill or craft. As we get closer to the first harvest, Lughnasadh, the effect of your work will become quite apparent. The Norse Rune Jera symbolizes the harvest time. As we head towards fall, the skills we have learned from the summer will carry us through the dark months of the winter season. Use these reverses to your highest benefit, because this is your time to shine.

What are the Norse Runes?

Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet.‌ ‌Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version.‌ ‌Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ ‌world‌ ‌tree (Yggdrasil)‌ ‌for‌ ‌nine‌ ‌days.
