Norse Rune of the Day 07 15 2022

“Othala”

This rune causes us to turn to look at what we have inherited from our ancestral line. Traditionally, this rune points to the land our families have passed down to us. In this case, the rune can also symbolize spiritual gifts and abilities which are being honed to a higher level. This is the time for gratitude and family conversations about future plans. The universe and the energy surrounding your family is coming into alignment for a really spectacular harvest.

What are the Norse Runes?

Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet.‌ ‌Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version.‌ ‌Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down‌ ‌from‌ ‌the‌ ‌world‌ ‌tree (Yggdrasil)‌ ‌for‌ ‌nine‌ ‌days.
