Norse Rune of the Day 07 10 2022
Perthro “The Dice Cup”
Most of our lives are very much out of our control. You’ve decided to roll the dice and take a chance on something. Whether you win or lose, what you have done is the work of the Universe. Gears are turning, unseen forces are at work, and you are finally “playing the game.” You may have avoided this for a long time because at one point, the game played you. Now you’re in it to win it. Forward!
What are the Norse Runes?
Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet. Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version. Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down from the world tree (Yggdrasil) for nine days. If you want to learn more about the Norse runes, I can provide you with some resources!
