Norse Rune of the Day 07 07 2022
Uruz
The rune Uruz was named after a real and now extinct species of cattle. These animals were impressively muscled and their size was recorded as tremendous. Uruz is the rune of great strength. Seeing this rune today could mean that you are demonstrating a greater level of self-control and discipline than ever before. Sometimes people think that self-discipline impedes their freedoms, however, this virtue allows us a deeper connection to the universe around us.
If you’re feeling weak, why is that? Are people depleting your time, energy, and other resources? Are you neglecting your physical body by not ingesting healthful nutrients? Uruz calls us to rebuild our store-houses of energy so we can go the distance – spiritually, physically, and mentally.
Thank you for reading. If you have questions or you would like to book an appointment with me for tarot readings or life coaching, please feel free to reach out. Have a blessed day. – Shining Quill
What are the Norse Runes?
Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet. Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version. Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down from the world tree (Yggdrasil) for nine days. If you want to learn more about the Norse runes, I can provide you with some resources!
