Norse Rune of the Day 07 06 2022
The rune of expressive joy. When Wunyo enters into our lives, it is a call to take in all of the lovely sights, scents, sounds, tastes, and other sensations associated with a life well lived. If we are not experiencing joy in our lives right now, are we able to ask ourselves why?
Are we perhaps moving too fast and not taking enough time to count our blessings?
Maybe we’re overburdened from caretaker work?
There’s a variety of reasons why people don’t experience joy in their lives.
If you are receiving this rune now, it can also mean that perhaps you’ve spent a long time in survival mode and you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Don’t focus on disappointment because of the past. You’re here in the present moment and it’s time to embrace all that’s good around you.
What are the Norse Runes?
Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet. Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version. Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down from the world tree (Yggdrasil) for nine days.
