Loteria of the Day 07 01 2022
El Botella
This is the eighth card in the Mexican Loteria. It represents “The Bottle.” If you are engaging in habits that no longer serve you, you might find yourself in a chaotic situation. But if you are honest with yourself and acknowledge your addictions, then the outcome will be very different. Anyone who works to break such habits WILL struggle. Keep in mind, they will also grow and eventually begin to heal from the life addiction afforded them.
Spirit has a strong message for someone reading this article right now. Do not allow yourself to be defined as your addictions. You are reevaluating your life and writing a new story now. Continue your work! You are brave!
Maybe this bottle offers a different message than before. Are you ready to hear it? – Quill
What are Mexican Loteria cards?
Originally, Mexican Loteria cards were used in a bingo-like game. They were not used as a divination tool until recently when the main supplier, Don Clemente, made the cards more uniform. The deck, consisting of 54 cards generally depicts art and symbolism present in Mexican culture. These cards are usually aimed at children or for general entertainment, but modern divination researchers, such as Garth Tardy, contributed to their development. Most of my information comes from this website:
I use the Loteria cards as a way of understanding how I can face hurdles in my life. I feel that they compliment the tarot, oracle, and affirmation decks well because they provide a different perspective on the theme of the day.
