Norse Rune of the Day 06 29 2022
WUNJO
The intense vibes coming off last night’s new moon have left many of us in a special spot this morning. Some of us are celebrating good news and some of us are feeling the aftermath of an emotional hurricane. For those that are working with their shadow side, the last three months have been quite a doozy.
Wunjo comes into our lives to remind us that better times are ahead. We are actively working through some of the swampiest parts of our psyche and so the feeling of fatigue can be a factor in our lives right now. Wunjo tells us to keep up the work and know the rest is in sight. Remember, there will always be work to do, however, there is also time for reward.
What are the Norse Runes?
Originally from Germany and Scandinavia, Norse runes are an ancient alphabet. Pagans and Heathens (people who follow the Northern traditions) use them for divination (foretelling). There are 24 runes in what is known as the Elder Futhark version. Odin is said to have gained access to the sacred alphabet by hanging upside down from the world tree (Yggdrasil) for nine days.
