Dill

Dill weed (Anethum graveolens) is a versatile herb ruled by the planet Mercury. It has been used in Ayurvedic (a natural remedy from ancient India) for centuries as a diuretic. This herb is used in metaphysical circles as a primary ingredient in restful sleep spells as it will dispel nightmares. Its calming nature is said to help rid the mind of anxiety and overthinking. In African American Hoodoo, dill is used to assist in court case workings and protective magick.

In my experience, I used dill in conjunction with “road opener work.” If I am seeking new ventures, I want to be protected in that work. I do not want negative thoughts that no longer serve me to play a role in future decisions. I generally grind up some dill and add that to my candles paired with a little olive oil to generate potent results. Dill is also used in money attraction spells work so if you’re looking for a steady trickle of funds, Dill is your ally.
