Idunna, do You know the Magick of the Apple tree?
She took away my youth to feed the Gods,
Bewitching me into reality,
from the fantasy of my disillusion,
Tearing at my roots and feeding from me,
as She nourished me with immortality, legacy, and wisdom.
Hera, Athena, Aphrodite, do You know the Magick of the Apple tree?
Who is the fairest of them all isn’t always fairest to all,
I looked in the mirror and saw ugliness, greed, and pride,
Losing myself in others,
as I struggled to find my reflection,
Red as Your copious fruits, Blood brings resolve.
Discorded Eris, do You know the Magick of the Apple tree?
Opening a Pandora’s box,
Kundalini raises like a curious eyebrow,
unrestrained thoughts and creativity brimming,
Visions, dreams, and paradises flashing before my eyes,
Crumbling realizations of myself,
Choking on the Truth,
Shaking in the acceptance of the Path before me.
Pomona of the Harvest, do You know the Magick of the Apple tree?
She is the fertile Mother who supports me,
the lover who inspires me,
She is the Crone, scaring me into reality,
She is birth, She is Death,
She is all the bounty in between,
For me, Goddesses, I call to you!
Make a space for the Apple tree,
Give Her due,
Deeply Rooted Apple tree,
How You have left Your mark upon me,
Now I have breath in which to cry,
Scintillating dew upon Your leaves,
I surrender to You.
So mote it Be!
